For Already Enrolled Students Only
Memorization of the Holy Qur’an is a centuries old tradition and a cornerstone of our faith. It has been the primary method used in the preservation of the Holy Qur’an. Its memorization is highly encouraged and a rewarding practice, as is proven from numerousahadith.
With that, we are excited to announce a full-time Hifdh (Qur’an memorization) program at Guiding Light. Through this program, we hope to provide a much needed service in the South Bay.
The program will be taught and administered by Imam Ilyas Anwar. He has been teaching Hifdh at Islamic Center of Fremont for the past 13 years. Under his guidance, dozens of students have memorize the Qur’an and often lead taraweeh prayers at numerous masajid around the Bay Area.
During the first year, we plan to limit the enrollment to approximately 10 students. Minimum age of enrollment is eight years old. Classes will begin on the first week of September and take place Monday – Friday, from 7:30am – 1pm.
