Guiding Light’s MAKTAB program is designed with the central purpose of providing individualized, one-on-one attention to the student. In comparison, most Sunday school programs lack focus on individualized Qur’anic recitation. This leads to a slow and questionable progress in the student’s recitation. Primary focus of the MAKTAB program is to provide one-on-one attention in small class sizes.
Hifdh
Memorization of the Holy Qur’an is a centuries old tradition and a cornerstone of our faith. It has been the primary method used in the preservation of the Holy Qur’an. Its memorization is highly encouraged and a rewarding practice, as is proven from numerousahadith.
With that, we are excited to announce a full-time Hifdh (Qur’an memorization) program at Guiding Light. Through this program, we hope to provide a much needed service in the South Bay.
